If you’re like most business owners I work with, you started with a dream—freedom, success, and control over your life. But somewhere along the way, that dream got buried under long hours, constant stress, and the nagging question:

"Am I even doing this right?"

I get it. I’ve been there many times.

​

I don’t come from money. I didn’t have a roadmap. But from a young age, I knew I wanted to build something of my own.

I got my start working in my grandfather’s furniture store, helping support my family after my dad passed away. Those years taught me resilience, grit, and what it really takes to run a business.

 

I cut my teeth in the construction industry, learning the trades (old School) and went on to lead a crew of industrial flooring guys on major infrastructure projects in the UK. Later, I stepped into hospitality, where I found my real passion—helping people grow into the leaders they never thought they could be.

In 2013, I launched EMMCO, a consulting firm coaching bars and restaurants on how to deliver unforgettable service. That experience led me to Canada, where I built and scaled two 7-figure home service businesses from scratch—first in moving, then in residential painting.

But here’s the thing: success didn’t come easy.

​

I’ve doubted myself. I’ve felt like an imposter, wondering if I was just getting lucky. I’ve hit walls where I thought, maybe I’m not cut out for this.

What I’ve learned—through wins, failures, and everything in between—is that the difference between struggling and thriving isn’t talent or luck. It’s having the right systems, the right mindset, and the right people in your corner.
